The ESEMP is the philosophical society, which examines the entire epoch of the early modern times including late scholasticism, renaissance, humanism, reformation and the early enlightenment.

The ESEMP was established on November 6th 2004 in Hagen (Germany). Considerable scientists of various nations belong to it.

The ESEMP understands itself as a philosophical, interdisciplinary orientated forum for the study of the early modern times.
