Erster internationaler Kongreß für frühneuzeitliche Philosophie 26.-30. März 2007 in Essen Die ESEMP arbeitet zur Zeit in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Kulturwissenschaftlichen Institut (Essen) an den Vorbereitungen zu ihrem ersten internationalen Kongreß. Die Einrichtung der ESEMP-Arbeitsstelle wurde im Zusammenhang mit der Gründung der ESEMP beschlossen. Eines ihrer ersten Ziele ist die Herstellung einer Online-Datenbank frühneuzeitlicher philosophischer Texte, die noch nicht als Reprint vorliegen. The conference aims to review and evaluate the metaphysical thought of Francisco Suárez (1548–1617) in his key metaphysical treatise Disputationes Metaphysicae (1597).
Call for Papers
· Two-page abstracts are welcome on any aspect of Suárez’s metaphysical thought (the Organising Committee reserves the right to reject an abstract)
· Finished papers should not exceed 25 minutes reading time
· Please submit abstracts, prepared for blind review, by email or hard copy by April 30, 2008
· Proceedings of the conference will be published in a special supplement of the journal Studia Neoaristotelica
